You’ll need to select three UK master’s programs. This part is more important than people realize.
Don’t just pick random courses. Choose programs that clearly align with:
- Your past experience
- Your career goals
- The impact you want to make in your country
For example, if you’re a petroleum engineer aiming to improve energy systems in Nigeria, your course should reflect that direction—something like energy policy, petroleum engineering, or sustainable energy systems.
Also, make sure:
- The universities offer Chevening-eligible programs
- The courses start in the same academic year (2026 intake)
Your choices should tell a consistent story about your future.
Apply to Your Selected Universities
In addition to Chevening, you must apply to your chosen universities.
You need to secure at least one unconditional offer from a UK university. Without this, you won’t get the scholarship—even if you pass all other stages.
So take these applications seriously.
