Football News: Nico Raskin Drops Huge Rangers Transfer Hint | Footballtransfers Us

luk4sammy@gmail.com November 27, 2025

In breaking football news, nicolas Raskin has promised that he will not leave Rangers on a free transfer in 2027, despite leaving the door open to a possible departure. The Belgium international is into the final two years of his current contract at Ibrox and he has been heavily linked with an exit amid increasing interest in his signature from across Europe.Raskin has established himself as a regular starter in the Belgium national team since his move to Rangers from Standard Liege and he has notched six goal contributions in 22 games for the Scottish giants so far this term, despite a difficult start to the campaign. He has solidified himself as a key member of Danny Rohl’s first-team squad, following the sacking of Russell Martin, but his contract situation is a major concern for Rangers fans.Raskin, who has an Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) of €13.6 million, has now eased such worries by confirming that he is open to signing a new deal in order to avoid departing Ibrox for free.Speaking to reporters ahead of Rangers’ clash against Braga in the Europa League on Thursday, Raskin admitted (via The Daily Record): “Obviously I’m very happy here.

We’ve got a new manager and we’re trying to build something good and nice.“We’ve got loads of things to do and I’m really happy here. I’m not deciding anything.

I’m just waiting for anyone to come and talk to me.

I’m taking it day by day and trying to give my best for the club.”When asked how important it is that he doesn’t leave Rangers on a free transfer in 2027, Raskin added: “It is.

I know people will think about how I left my old club [Standard Liege] but there has never been a thought about that.“If I have to leave here, I want everybody to be happy and to leave in a good way.

It doesn’t depend on me. I’m just waiting to see what’s going to happen for me.“But there’s nothing on my side saying I want to leave for free. I don’t want that.

This club has given me a lot, they’ve helped me go to the national team and show myself on a good stage.“So if I can give back everything I can, I’ll try to do that.”He continued: “At my old club, I didn’t leave for free because I decided.

When we were negotiating a contract, a few players were in the same situation.“We changed the board at the club, there was a problem with the timing and by then it was too close to the end.

If I could have signed and made it different, I would have. But it was difficult at the time.“People might think I’ve done it before and will go down that road again but that’s not what happened.

I want to make that clear.”Check out FootballTransfers’ new app for all of football’s big storylines, transfer rumours and exclusive news in one convenient place directly on your mobile device. The FootballTransfers app is available in the Apple App Store.
