Transfer Rumours: €200m offer rocks Liverpool as Chelsea hijack striker deal

luk4sammy@gmail.com December 10, 2025

FootballTransfers runs through the biggest rumours from 10 December, including the latest updates on Mohamed Salah and Marcus Rashford.

Three Saudi Pro League are ready to pounce on Mohamed Salah’s potential availability in the January transfer window, according to Ben Jacobs. The Liverpool legend could stand to earn as much as €200 million per season in the Middle East.

Al-Hilal, NEOM SC and Al-Qadsiah are all chasing the 33-year-old. The first two could receive central funding to sign Salah, while the latter would be able to self-finance the deal due to being owned by Aramco.

To consider a sale, Liverpool would need to receive a fee that “significantly surpasses” the €53m that saw Darwin Nunez move to Al-Hilal in the summer. Two MLS franchises are also keen on Salah.

Man Utd are interested in Strasbourg forward Joaquin Panichelli, according to CaughtOffside, but Chelsea are unlikely to let the striker move to Old Trafford.

The Blues themselves are keeping close tabs on the Argentine’s development following his red-hot start to the Ligue 1 season at their sister club in Alsace.

Chelsea are understood to be “leading the chase” for the striker despite having already wrapped up a deal for Strasbourg captain Emmanuel Emegha, who will move to Stamford Bridge next summer.

Marcus Rashford has informed Man Utd that he will only consider a permanent move to Barcelona next summer, according to TEAMtalk.

The England international has been sensational on loan in Catalunya and has his heart set on a permanent stay. He will not entertain any other offers.

This could be bad news for the Red Devils as other suitors would potentially be able to offer more money for Rashford. Barcelona have a €30m purchase option.

Antoine Semenyo has picked reigning Premier League champions Liverpool as his preferred destination if he is to leave Bournemouth, according to TEAMtalk.

The Ghana international has a €74m release clause in his contract that becomes active in the January window, although it won’t be active for long to give Bournemouth enough time to source an adequate replacement.

Liverpool are among the clubs interested in Semenyo ahead of January, and the current uncertainty surrounding Salah could prompt them to make a move for the 25-year-old.
